Shereen Abdul-Baki is a Palestinian+American artist, designer and award winning experimental filmmaker who is passionate about making stories.
Elegy (2008) won the Grabay Meas (Golden Buffalo) Award for ‘Animation Only’ at the CamboFest Film and Video Festival in Cambodia and was nominated for the Best Experimental Animation Award at the California International Animation Festival.
The Kitchen Conqueror (2003) won the Festival Director’s Choice Award at the DC Shorts Film Festival in and was featured in DV Filmmaking: From Start to Finish by Ian David Aronson, published by O’Reilly in 2005.
Shereen earned her BFA in Graphic Design from Carnegie Mellon University, her MFA in Media Design from Art Center College of Design and has worked in companies such as Washingtonpost.com, Sapient and AOL.
