Bio/Cv
Shereen Abdul-Baki is an American experimental filmmaker and food enthusiast whose work centers on the integration of media and narrative cinema. Her animated short, Elegy (2008), was nominated for the Best Experimental Animation Award at the California International Animation Festival in 2008, and won the Grabay Meas (Golden Buffalo) Award for ‘Animation Only’ at the CamboFest Film and Video Festival in Cambodia, 2008.The Kitchen Conqueror (2003) won the Festival Director’s Choice Award at the DC Shorts Film Festival in 2004 and is featured in DV Filmmaking: From Start to Finish by Ian David Aronson, published by O’Reilly in 2005. Shereen lives and works in the Netherlands.
